1、 Air cooler description:
Air coolers are mainly used in metallurgy, power, chemical, mining, light industry machinery and other sectors, especially in areas with water shortage or severe environmental pollution caused by industrial water. Due to the use of air instead of cooling liquid, air coolers reduce industrial water consumption and eliminate pollution, making them more widely used. Air coolers are mainly used in power plants for closed-loop ventilation cooling of generators and motors. They can cool the heat absorbing medium for the purpose of medium circulation.
2、 Selection of heat exchange tubes for air coolers:
Lianyungang Huaneng Electric Power has newly launched the KN type air cooler, which belongs to the bimetallic rolling plate structure and has the characteristics of good cooling effect and good anti vibration performance. It can effectively control the temperature rise of the generator within 105 ℃. It is an efficient cooler that uses power plant circulating water as the cooling medium and has been widely used in generator sets for many years. Compared with the spring-loaded air cooler, the outstanding advantages of the bimetallic copper and aluminum composite extruded plate air cooler are: large heat dissipation area (increased by 50%), high cooling capacity (increased by 20-30%), low air resistance (reduced by 20%), and its performance remains basically unchanged with the increase of service life. It is an ideal alternative product to the spring-loaded air cooler.
3、 Structural form of air cooler:
An air cooler is composed of a tube bundle arrangement, with cooling water passing through the tubes. The air that needs to be cooled circulates between the tube bundles to obtain cooling. In order to increase the contact area between the water pipes and the air and enhance heat transfer, many aluminum alloy fin shaped thin sheets or spiral heat sinks are installed on the outer surface of the cooler water pipes. For the convenience of inspection, maintenance, and installation of large air coolers, optimize the design of an air cooler divided into 4 columns and 8 groups. The cooling water in the air cooler produced by Lianyungang Huaneng Power is supplied by the cooling water for the steam turbine condenser, and the cooling water process is generally in the form of a dual process or a single process. When the inlet temperature of the cooling water is greater than 30 ℃, the cooling effect of the air in the cooler is greatly reduced, which will affect the output of the generator. Therefore, in hot summer weather areas, industrial water with low inlet temperature should be selected as the cooling water source for the air cooler as much as possible.
