Sponge iron deaerator
1、 Overview of Sponge Iron Deaerator:
The HCY series room temperature sponge iron deaerator uses highly active sponge iron deaerator to remove dissolved oxygen from water. After treatment, the dissolved oxygen content in the water can be reduced to below 0.05mg/L. It can be widely used for anti-corrosion of boiler feedwater and industrial circulating water facilities, and is an ideal environmentally friendly deaeration equipment.
2、 Deoxygenation mechanism:
The highly active filler block type room temperature sponge iron deoxidizer obtained through activation treatment is a sponge like porous iron particle, which has the best deoxidization effect on soft water and plays a filtering role. The activated iron undergoes a rapid oxidation-reduction reaction with dissolved oxygen in water, and the reaction equation is:
Fe+H2O+1/2 O2→Fe2++2 OH-
Fe2++2 OH-+1/4 O2+1/2 H2O→Fe(OH)3↓
The flocculent iron hydroxide generated by the reaction accumulates on the surface of the highly active sponge iron deoxidizer and is intercepted, which is easily washed away by backwash water, and the deoxidizer quickly recovers its initial activity.

4、 Equipment features:
□ The deaerator has a simple structure, small volume, low installation, small footprint, and saves infrastructure investment.
□ Inlet water at room temperature, no heating required. Reduce energy consumption, low operating costs, with a water treatment cost of approximately 0.20 yuan per ton.
□ Not affected by fluctuations in inlet water temperature and equipment load, the deoxygenation effect remains good and has strong adaptability.
□ The deaerator only needs to be backwashed regularly during use, with a low backwashing frequency. The backwashed wastewater is non-toxic and harmless, which is beneficial for environmental protection.
□ Deoxidizer does not harden or pulverize, with low consumption, minimal loss, and good deoxygenation effect.
□ The control mode has two forms: manual and automatic, which can be selected by the user.
□ The dissolved oxygen content in the effluent of the deaerator is ≤ 0.05mg/L (lower than the GB1576-2001 standard).

7、 Instructions for use:
※ The backwash water can be tap water or well water, but it must meet the backwash pipe diameter or backwash water volume listed in the technical parameter table.
※ Deoxidized water should be isolated from the air. Our company can provide a deoxygenated expansion water tank or renovate an existing water tank.
※ The effluent from the deaerator should not directly enter the boiler or heating system
※ The end point of manual equipment operation is set to increase the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet to 0.05MPa, while automatic equipment is timed backwashing.
■ When ordering a deaerator, it should be indicated whether the control mode is manual or automatic.
■ If the inlet water temperature of the deaerator exceeds 50 ℃, it must be specified at the time of ordering for the manufacturer to carry out special treatment.
■ The tank body is made of carbon steel. If there are special requirements, customization can be requested.
■ When the filling layer is below 0.8 meters, sponge iron should be replenished to a layer height of 1.2 meters or more. In continuous operation, it is generally necessary to replenish it once every six months.
■ When filling sponge iron, equal amounts should be added from the two filling holes on the top of the tank to ensure that the sponge iron layers in the two chambers inside the tank are equal.
■ The continuous operating flow rate should not exceed 10% of the design flow rate.
■ Before using new equipment or newly installed sponges for the first time, they should be thoroughly backwashed before being put into use.
